MK Sinha takes charge as new J&K CID chief | KNO

Srinagar, Aug 28 (KNO): MK Sinha took over the charge as Additional Director General (ADG) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from Nitish Kumar, who has been transferred as ADG Armed Police J&K. According to a statement, issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he held a meeting with senior officers of CID J&K and reviewed the overall functioning of intelligence wing after assuming the charge. Sinha is an IPS officer of 1996 batch and was functioning as ADG (HQR) PHQ J&K, while Kumar is an IPS officer of 1999 batch and was functioning as ADG CID/Director SIA J&K. Senior officers of CID J&K welcomed Sinha and assured him full cooperation and commitment in discharging their duties, the statement said. They also wished a successful tenure for the outgoing ADG Kumar for his new assignment as ADG Armed J&K, it added—(KNO)
